WHAT WILL I NEED TO CREATE MY MINI GOAL PLAN?
Any one of the following:
- A spreadsheet (Excel, Googlesheet). There aren’t any formulas, but it works best because you can type each Mini Goal into a new line.
- If you don’t do spreadsheets, then any Word or Googledoc type program.
- A pen and paper / notebook.
WHAT IF I'M NOT NATURALLY ORGANISED?
The Mini Goal Method is so simple, it works for anyone.
We talk about it in more detail in the About Us section below, but honestly, the only people who don’t need this are those who are naturally great at project management or using goal tracking apps.
HOW LONG WILL THIS TAKE?
Going through the Mini Goal Method course itself will take 25 minutes. I kept it short and sweet so you can dive straight into setting up your Mini Goal plan.
The idea is that you set up your plan while you do the course. So if you pause in between to do the work, it should take about 45 minutes in total.
I also share screenshots so it’s (very) easy to copy and create your own plan.
HOW IS THIS COURSE DELIVERED?

Why I (Marike) created this mini course:
My journey with Mini Goals started at Apple, where it’s a core part of their approach to work. It’s a powerful way to tackle big goals and has contributed to Apple’s incredible growth and innovation.
And then Mini Goals happened again as Angela and I started Cowork Crowd. We had lots of other things going on, but by having one Mini Goal for the week, we were able to quickly create freebies, launch new products and develop our business. I credit this all to Angela whose brain just does this naturally.
In the process of building our productivity business, I read all the productivity books. This method is based on the principles of Atomic Habits: Make it easy. Make it obvious. ‘When you focus on nothing, you’ll be distracted by everything’.
The real reason I love the Mini Goal Method is because my brain (and I) can’t do complicated things. I love the simplicity and doability of it.
