Welcome to

DONE BY FRIDAY

Thank you so much for joining Done by Friday – we’re so excited that you’re here.

An email is currently winging its way to you with more info about what to expect and the details of your user login to our website (and how to change your password).

On Monday, you’ll receive your first email with a prompt to set your ONE task for the week.

In the meantime, here are two videos to answer a couple of common questions you may have at this point.

What should I expect in my first week?

Here’s what you can expect:

On Monday, you’ll receive an email from us with a link to add the ONE task / goal / thing you’re committing to doing by Friday. See below for info about how to choose your task.

On Wednesday, we’ll send you a midweek booster / reminder email to get your ONE task done.

On Fridays, you’ll receive an email asking you to report back on what progress you made with your ONE task.

That’s it!

There’s nothing to do from your side at this point. We’ll be back in your inbox on Monday.

What task should I choose?

This is our most frequently asked question before people start!

Starting out, most people choose something they’ve been procrastinating on. Or something pressing that just needs to be done.

The reason weekly goals are so powerful is that we know on a Monday (more or less) what our week will look like. So if you’re only going to have 30 minutes to work on your task, you’ll add something that will take 30 minutes. Or if you have three full days to do it, then you can choose something more meaty.

One of the ideas behind Done by Friday is to help you to focus on IMPORTANT goals. Very often we only have the time or energy to focus on urgent tasks, but growth only happens when we make time for the important goals.

After a few weeks of getting your urgent tasks out of the way, we suggest that you start working on important goals. They’re often the income generating or audience building tasks.

What works really well is to take an important goal and break it down into mini tasks. Then you can choose one mini tasks to do each week.

The thing is, we totally underestimate how quickly these mini tasks add up.

As the weeks pass and you look back at the log of tasks you’ve completed, you’ll be amazed at how much progress you’ve made.

Lastly, if you’re still unsure, ask yourself: what can I do this week that I would feel good about on Friday?
